NEW LEGISLATION: AGENCY WORKERS REGULATIONS SEMINAR, YOU NEED TO BE READY!
- New regulations
- New rights
Johnson Underwood are putting policies and procedures in place now.
“I am organising a seminar with the eminent lawyer and European Counsel, Floyd Graham, to discuss the implications of the new requirements that local companies and organisations employing local people (hopefully through Johnson Underwood!) must adhere too.
Not only do we need to know what will be required in order to not inadvertently and unknowingly contravene these regulations, I feel we need to ask the questions for which we are looking for answers, to an unpretentious and straight talking lawyer with no hidden agendas!
After the seminar we will all be equipped to move forward with ideas of any procedures and policies we are required to have in place.
This will be held on Wednesday, 7 September 2011 at a local Northampton venue. If you would be interested in attending please email me and once numbers are known I will confirm final details.
Personally I would highly recommend this seminar because the changes due to be implemented are immense.”

CRB SERVICE
JU is able to obtain CRBs for you. Although they are currently, 'non portable', new legislation should be through by the end of the year. Call us for more details 01604 626162.
At Johnson Underwood we use an umbrella company to process our CRB applications. They have written to us to inform us that the CRB fees have been increased by the CRB body themselves. An Enhanced CRB will now cost £52.00 effective from the 1 April 2011.
At Johnson Underwood, we do not charge anything extra for processing your application and offer a two stage payment system £26 on applying thereafter £26 once your CRB has been issued.
PROTECT YOUR CV!
Desperate times often heralds desperate measures and I am saddened to hear that more and more recruitment agencies are refusing to inform candidates where they are sending their CVs.
It is a legal obligation on their part, although small print not read by candidates whilst registering sometimes inadvertently gives the agencies the right to do so.
Understandably in these times if an agency rings you up and says I have a job do want your CV to go forward, you jump at the chance.
But do you know the consequences of your actions?
Many clients who receive CVs from different agencies often blame the candidates themselves for being too sharp and then refuse to interview.
There is also the added concern that the client will have to pay a fee to all the agencies as each will argue they will have a legal right to a fee.
Agencies do not trust their candidates........ saying if we tell you where your CV is going you will inform other agencies .... Why? for goodness sake!
